Who we are
Canopy Insurance Partners is a life insurance agency licensed in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Mississippi and Arkansas. We operate this website to help people understand how much life insurance they need and to connect them with a licensed agent who can write a policy. You can reach us at (208) 996-3578. We are not affiliated with any government agency.
What we collect
When you use one of the calculators or forms on this site, we collect what you type into it:
- Contact information: your first and last name, email address, phone number and state.
- Details that affect your rate: your date of birth, gender, the health class you select for yourself, and whether you use tobacco.
- Financial details you choose to share: household income, savings and investments, existing life insurance coverage, and for mortgage protection quotes your house value, mortgage balance, monthly mortgage payment and years remaining on the loan.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the campaign or referring page that brought you here, such as advertising click identifiers and UTM parameters.
- Your consent record: the date, time and exact wording of the consent you gave us, along with your IP address, so we can show what you agreed to.
We do not collect your Social Security number, driver’s license number, bank account or card numbers, or medical records, and we do not ask medical questions on this website.

- To compare carriers and products that fit your age, state and situation.

Who we share it with
We share your information with the following categories of recipients, and only as far as each one needs it:
- Licensed agents at Canopy Insurance Partners who will contact you about your request.
- Insurance carriers and their underwriting systems, when you choose to apply for coverage. The carrier will ask you its own questions, including health information, and will handle that information under its own privacy practices.
- Technology providers who run this website and our follow up: our website hosting, our customer relationship management system, our workflow automation, our quote and application platform, and our email and text messaging providers.
- Analytics and advertising partners such as Google Analytics and Meta, to measure traffic and to show advertising to people who may be interested in coverage.
- Legal and regulatory recipients, if we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or a regulator’s request.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone who is not listed above.
Quotes and applications
Our quote and application tool is provided by our insurance technology partner, BackNine. When you enter your details into a calculator and continue to the quote step, those details are sent to BackNine so it can return rates from carriers licensed in your state. If you choose to apply, BackNine passes your application to the carrier, and the carrier creates its own record of it under its own privacy practices. The carrier will also ask you its own questions, including health questions, at that stage, and may request your authorization to obtain medical or prescription information. We do not send you to a carrier or an application without your action.
How we contact you, and how to stop
When you submit a form you agree that we may contact you by phone, email or text message about life insurance options, including through automated means. Message and data rates may apply. Your consent is not a condition of buying anything: you can ask us for a quote without agreeing to be called, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
To stop, call us at (208) 996-3578 or reply STOP to a text message. You can also unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will stop, though we may keep a record of the request so we do not contact you again by mistake.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure advertising. That includes Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, which set first-party cookies such as _fbp so that advertising measurement works. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising in the settings for Google and Meta. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the calculators, but it may affect your experience of the site.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep lead information for as long as it is useful for the reasons above, and longer only where the law or our insurance recordkeeping duties require it. We protect it with access controls, encryption in transit, and a limited number of people who can see it. No system is perfect, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as required by law.
Your choices
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask for a copy.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we are required to keep it.
- Ask us to stop calling, texting or emailing you.
- Opt out of personalised advertising through Google and Meta.

Residents of certain states, including California, have additional rights under state privacy law, and we honour those requests in the same way. We will verify a request before acting on it, and we will not charge you for making one.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not offer coverage to anyone under 18.

When we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date below. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly on the site.
